Add-on to yesterday’s Post for Kihei Condos: requested Aerial Photo of Loke Hale and Iliili Road

NO – I did not charter a helicopter today, going up just to make YOUR photo. But I thought I am surprising lots of more people by adding an aerial photo I still had, to yesterday’s post. By the way, it is not really an excuse to say “I don’t know where this is, since it is not one of those Wailea Condos“. Some of these Kihei Condos are just fantastic, I believe. ALL of them are still in South MauiĀ  :)

The location of Loke Hale is really stunning with the green lawn in the front, Kihei’s #1 surf spot, Cove Park to the north and Charley Young’s Beach in the south. Here are more photos of Loke Hale #202 from when it was previously listed. Sad we missed this opportunity but there are many more oceanfront Kihei Condos. It is still a great time to buy, no question!

The blue roof to the south of Loke Hale is one of those brand new Kihei Homes, built in 2002. It is a 4 bedroom / 4 bathroom home with almost 4,400 square feet on a 10,000 square feet lot. This oceanfront Kihei Home sold most recently, on December 11, 2009 for $4,750,000.00. Great neighbor to have in terms of Maui Real Estate values.

The dominant red roof lines to the top right in the photo are from another Kihei Condo called Maui Vistas. And the green roof lines to the left, half way covered by the arrow are those of Hale Kanani, a much more recent construction from 2006. For those interested in visiting this specific area, there is a public parking lot on the ocean side of South Kihei Road. Otherwise it is not that easy to leave the car just anywhere.

Sorry! You missed it. Well, you had more then 250 days time to make an offer. But now this really cute oceanfront Kihei Condo has an accepted offer and is in Escrow. It was listed for $1,285,000.00.

Actually, I never counted them, but there really are lots of Kihei Condos and most of them are located on the mountain side of South Kihei Road. Still considered as part of South Kihei, Loke Hale is located on Iliili Road, a short half-mile stretch between Charley Young’s Beach in the south and the popular Kihei Surf Spot called Cove Park in the north.

Loke Hale is an exquisite and small Hans-Riecke-designed complex on the ocean side of Iliili Road with a beautiful green lawn atop the natural lava wall fronting the ocean. Loke Hale 202 is a 2-bedroom 2-bathroom unit with 1,020 square feet that has been completely remodeled in 2002. This second floor unit has fantastic ocean views from Maaleia and the West Maui mountains all the way down to Kahoolawe and the island of Molokini. The open kitchen and the living room are facing the ocean and so is the adjacent master bedroom. The bright unit offers lots of windows with a tropical breeze and the sound of the ocean 24/7. A soothing, simply beautiful and tranquil feeling at the same time. I truly love this unit.

Today’s Maui Photo only gives a glimpse of what this unit #202 in Loke Hale really is about. If you send me an email, I will return a link to more photos of this gorgeous remodel. Though it builds value for the owners, it is sad that we rarely see Kihei Condos in Loke Hale become available for sale. But there are other oceanfront Kihei Condos. Some of them are virtually located on the beach.

Hoolei At Wailea O4 sold after only 78 Days as Cash Transaction and Best Deal with a Plumeria Floor Plan

With the Winter knocking at the door in many parts of the world, Wailea Condos are becoming most attractive again. Specially when you are able to get them at what I want to call “market oriented prices”. Today’s sale of Hoolei At Wailea O4 shows that there are realistic sellers out there. And this Buyer got the Best Deal on a listed Plumeria Floor Plan unit in this Wailea Condo.

Hoolei At Wailea O4 originally sold in January 2009 for just below $2,4M. The sale from today recorded, fully furnished, for $2,025,000.00. Looks much better with all the ‘zeros’ behind, but it truly was a deal, no matter how you put it!

Of all the Condos in Wailea and Makena, Hoolei At Wailea is leading the 2009 statistics. There are currently 16 active listings from $1,75M up to $3,35M. In my eyes an amazing and unrealistic gap for properties in such a close proximity, nevertheless and as always, it’s about the view and the location, location, location. 16 listings may not even be much, considering the 23 in Kai Malu At Wailea. But Hoolei’s story goes on.

A little shocker was the new listing of unit B1 with $3,35M from a few days ago! But there are also 3 active Escrows, all showing around $2,2M. Hoolei At Wailea is one of the New Developments and the 3 units are P1, P3 and O6. All of these units are original / first time sales with the developer.

Hoolei At Wailea is out to set another record for 2009. Just over 60 Wailea Condos have been sold between all condos in the resort area. To date, the stunning number of *17*SEVENTEEN* counts for Hoolei At Wailea. Basically, nearly 50% of all Condos in Wailea that sold for over then $1M are in this complex. Amazing.

The pool and recreation area of Hoolei At Wailea reflects the ambiance and the connection to the Grand Wailea Resort. In fact, it feels like a much smaller sibling of the famous hotel across the street. The reservation system is connected between both operations and a free shuttle service for owners and visitors is available. Depending on the individual owner, Hoolei units may be offered as vacation rental units.
