News Summary from the Baccarat Wailea Beach Resort
Wednesday, January 28th, 2009My recent news post from the “Baccarat Wailea Beach Resort and Residences” is not that long ago. But the Honolulu Advertiser published a great summary in the Business Section of today’s publication. I am keeping this entry short so you will make the time to read “Luxury Condotel Plans put on hold“. It puts in words what we know. And it makes clear that there is not yet a solution for this prime location within the Wailea Resort.
On January 30, 2009, two days after this original post, The Maui News featured their version of the same situation on the front page: “Owner tight-lipped on Plans for Renaissance Wailea Beach Resort“. This article gives the reader some more background and history of the property. It’s sad to know that the decision to shut down operations by the end of Summer 2007 was too early after all.
The combination of both writings makes it clear that this is a key location within the Wailea Resort destination. Because of the pretigious and world class location in association with the holding cost for such a property, it seems to be pretty clear that there will be some kind of public announcement made in the very near future. Stay tuned.
