This is quiet something: when we did this hike, it was the first time for my clients and now this entire reserve will be closed for at least two years! The Maui News announced the closure of Makena’s Ahihi-Kinau reserve for next month, August 1st. Kelley and Dan recently retired and bought a house in Kihei, Moana Estates. Looks like they made “History in Makena”. At least they had the chance to visit the aquarium prior to the closure.
