It’s been all of 2008 that the old Renaissance Resort Hotel took on the character of a ghost town. During the last quarter of 2007, the popular resort closed the doors for good. This is a prime location between Maluhia At Wailea in the North and Wailea Elua in the South.
With the world-wide financial problems, it has been decided to drop the current marketing plans of fee simple condos to be sold in a hotel-style environment. At least how they are standing today. The owners did not yet announce how they will proceed. Decisions are expected within the next 30 to 60 days.
The “old” Baccarat advertising sign on Wailea Alanui Drive is now painted white and like many, I am very much looking forward to the upcoming announcement.
