Halama Street is one of only two oceanfront streets in Kihei other then the long main stretch known as South Kihei Road. The other one is Iliili Road, but it is less then a quarter of the length and located further south, just after the Cove Park. Therefore, oceanfront Kihei homes are very limited in supply. The good news is that the Grand Wailea Resort will remain under the management contract of Hilton’s luxury Waldorf Astoria brand. We should “feel” not much of a change in regards to the day to day operation of South Maui’s famed resort hotel.

Today’s Maui photo is an aerial of the Grand Wailea Resort. When first arriving on Maui directly from Hamburg in Germany, I worked in this hotel and really enjoyed myself. It was an unforgettable experience and I never wanted to leave Maui again.
